“We” vs. “Me”

Myssi & I are in Nashville right now with some good friends at the National Leadership Conference for the  ministry movement that our church is associated with (Every Nation).  And I have to admit I was almost overwhelmed as, one by one, leaders began to step up and rave about the favor of God that has been with us and the incredible open doors that lay before us today.  It was inspiring to hear about our brothers and sisters laboring around the world and here at home.  All the different stories and words that were shared can be summed up in one tiny statement… “We vs. Me.”  That’s the kind of family I want to be a part of.

“If as one…they have begun to do this… nothing will be impossible for them.” (Gen.11:6)  I believe that!!!

Recently I read something interesting about tigers and lions. Tigers are quite a bit larger than lions. I know, that’s hardly revolutionary. But if you pitted them against each other in a group fight, the lions would win every time. Why? Because tigers are by nature loners, and as such, would attempt to fight a pride of lions as a lone ranger. While lions prefer to live together in packs. And because of that, they are skilled at hunting together and cooperating. Thinking about that reminded me of a video I watched that is definitely worth the 8 minute investment. And while it’s not the lions that prevail, some unexpected heroes step up to carry the day. Check it out the Battle at Kruger.
